I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate and a Co-PI on an NIHR funded project at the University of Manchester. This work focuses on exploring the fatigue experiences of children and young people with sickle cell disease in the UK to guide the co-development of a fatigue self-management intervention. Following several years of nursing practice in Ghana, I moved into research, firstly as a PhD student at the University of Manchester. My research interest and expertise lie in the life and transition experiences and self-management practices of children and young people with chronic illnesses, particularly sickle cell disease, using qualitative/art-based methods.
