Nicola Conran is a research scientist at the Vascular Inflammation Laboratory at the University of Campinas, and has been working in the field of sickle cell disease for nearly 20 years. Her major interest is further understanding the contribution of cell-cell interactions, inflammation and hemolysis to vaso-occlusive processes in sickle cell disease, as well as the identification of molecular drug targets.
